When you order blood labs through Rupa, the process is simple, fully digital, and designed to give you and your patients a seamless experience from ordering to receiving results. This article covers the key parts of the process — available draw partners, custom panel creation, the patient experience, and interpreting results.

Available blood draw partners
Rupa partners with Quest Diagnostics and Access Labcorp Draw for blood testing. Both use instant digital requisitions—no physical kits—and samples are collected directly at their respective patient service centers.
Both options streamline the blood draw process, reduce shipping steps, and help patients complete their testing quickly.
Creating custom panels
Similar to custom bundles, you can create a custom blood panel to simplify ordering, compare biomarkers across multiple lab companies, and save time when selecting tests from the same lab.
To create a custom panel:
From your dashboard, start a cart and choose Create a Panel, then Blood Panel.
Use the search bar to find and add the biomarkers you want to include. Rupa will display all labs that offer those markers side by side, with pricing, processing time, and other details.
Choose your preferred lab, then click Create Panel to save it.
Your new panel will appear under Favorites in your cart. Next time you place an order, simply select your saved panel to automatically add all included markers to your cart!
Switch your panel to Quest in your cart
If you add Access Labcorp Draw tests to your cart, you may see a prompt offering the option to easily switch your panel to Quest. This appears when equivalent tests are also available through Quest Diagnostics.
This new feature makes it easy to take advantage of Quest’s draw network and lower pricing on many commonly ordered tests.
Simply review the message, select Switch to Quest, and your compatible tests will automatically update to use Quest as the draw partner — no need to rebuild your panel from scratch.
The patient experience
After you submit an order, your patient receives a digital requisition and clear instructions for scheduling their blood draw.
For Quest: Patients schedule directly through Quest's website and bring their printed or digital requisition.
For Access Labcorp Draw: Patients visit a nearby Labcorp location and bring their printed or digital requisition.
Rupa automatically emails your patient when their requisition is ready and provides preparation details in their patient portal.
Interpretations and trends
You can view and interpret your patients’ blood lab results directly from your Rupa dashboard. Rupa also offers a Trends feature that helps you visualize key biomarkers over time, allowing you to track changes and monitor progress.
These tools make it simple to turn lab data into actionable insights and guide conversations about patient progress and next steps.
