What is the Quest patient experience?

Learn about the patient experience when completing Quest testing through Rupa.

Updated today

Rupa has partnered with Quest Diagnostics to offer fast, convenient blood draws with an instant digital requisition — no physical kit involved. This article explains what your patients can expect when accessing their requisition form, scheduling their appointment, and receiving their results.

Digital requisition

Once you place a Quest order in Rupa, a digital requisition is instantly created. Your patient will receive an email notification when it’s ready and can access it in their Rupa patient portal.

The requisition includes their personal information and test details and is required when scheduling and attending their appointment. Patients can print it or show it digitally at their blood draw.

Scheduling with Quest

Rupa will send an email to the patient instructing them to schedule their blood draw appointment directly through Quest's website. They’ll choose a nearby Quest Patient Service Center, select a date and time, and bring their requisition (printed or digital) to the visit.

Walk-ins are typically accepted, but scheduling ahead is recommended to avoid long wait times.

Results delivery

We'll email you once any results become available. All results can be viewed and downloaded as PDFs from your Rupa Health portal.

By default, we don't send results directly to your patients unless you choose to automatically do so. After 30 days, Rupa will automatically make them available in the patient portal if they haven’t been shared yet.
