Key Details

Preparation & Timing
If you are a male or a menopausal female, you can collect any day.
If you are a premenopausal female, collect your sample day between day 19 and day 25 of your menstrual cycle.
Day 1 is the first day of your period
If you are taking hormone medications, wait to take your medication until after you have collected your sample.
You can continue taking all of your medications unless instructed otherwise by your healthcare provider.
Limit your water intake to a maximum of 64 fl oz in the 24 hours before sample collection.
Freeze the provided freezer brick overnight before sample collection.
Collection Instructions
Place the provided freezer brick in the freezer overnight.
It must be frozen for at least 8 hours prior to shipping your sample.
Write the following information on Label #1.

You will collect your first morning urination. If you wake to urinate in the night within 6 hours of your standard waking time,
Collect your urine in a clean container.
You must provide this container yourself.

If you collected urine during the night, combine the urine from both collections together into one cup.
Stir the urine with the pipette.
Open the BLACK BOTTOM urine tube.
Use the pipette to transfer urine to fill the tube.
Screw the cap on the tube tightly.
Shake the tube.
Place the tube into the biohazard bag.
Freeze the tube immediately.
Your sample should be frozen for at least 2 hours before shipping.
Your sample must remain frozen until it is shipped.
Discard any remaining urine and all of the collection materials.
Complete the test registration.
Please ensure that the name on the registration matches the name on your Rupa order EXACTLY. If it does not match, you may need to recollect your samples.
Requisition & Payment
Your kit has been prepaid. You DO NOT need to pay anything extra.
You must complete your test registration and return your activation card with your samples.
Since you pre-paid for your tests, you do not need to fill in the payment information on this form.
Please ensure that the name on the registration matches the name on your Rupa order EXACTLY. If it does not match, you may need to recollect your samples.
Shipping
Ship your sample within 2 days of collection.
Rupa Health recommends shipping Monday - Thursday only to avoid shipment delays.
To prepare your sample for shipping,
Place the sample tube into the freezer immediately after collection.
Leave your sample in the freezer for at least 2 hours.
When ready to ship, remove your sample tube from the freezer.
Place the sample tube into the biohazard bag.
Place the biohazard bag into the test kit box.
Place the freezer brick into the test kit box.
Place the completed activation card into the test kit box.
Place the test kit box into the provided FedEx Clinical Pak.
Make a note of the return tracking number so you can track your sample back to the lab.
Ship your samples via FedEx.
You can take your samples to the nearest FedEx location.
DO NOT place your samples in a drop box.

Results
Results should be released to your provider 7-21 business days after your sample is received at the lab. Rupa Health cannot guarantee processing time.
