The Male Hormonal Health™ test looks at the levels of various hormones in your body to help identify imbalances that may be affecting your health.


Key Details

  • 🩸 Sample collection must be performed by a phlebotomist.

    • You may need to pay a separate fee for phlebotomy.

  • 📦 Rupa Health recommends getting your blood drawn and sample shipped in the morning, Monday - Thursday only to avoid shipment delays.

  • 💊 Do not take any hormones immediately before sample collection.

Preparation & Timing

  • Sample collection must be performed by a phlebotomist.

Rupa Health recommends getting your blood drawn in the morning, Monday - Thursday only to avoid shipment delays.

  • Hydrate before your blood draw.

  • Freeze the provided freezer brick for at least 8 hours before your blood draw.

  • DO NOT take any hormones immediately before your sample collection.

    • Your healthcare provider may ask that you refrain from taking hormones for a specific period before sample collection.

    • DO NOT change your medication schedule without first consulting with your healthcare provider.


Collection Instructions

  1. Freeze the provided freezer brick for at least 8 hours before your blood draw.

  2. Complete the test registration (instructions HERE).

    1. Please ensure that the name on the registration matches the name on your Rupa order EXACTLY. If it does not match, you may need to recollect your samples.

  3. Bring the following items with you to your blood draw appointment.

    1. Test kit

    2. Frozen freezer brick

    3. Completed activation card

  4. The phlebotomist will collect, prepare, and ship your sample for you.

NOTE: If you are in Alaska or Hawaii, Genova recommends shipping with dry ice to ensure your samples arrive frozen, as overnight shipping is not guaranteed due to the distance. If your samples do not arrive frozen, you may need to recollect. Please note on your activation card if you use dry ice.


Requisition & Payment

  • Your kit has been prepaid. You may need to pay a separate fee for phlebotomy.

  • You must complete your test activation for your sample to be analyzed.

    • Since you pre-paid for your tests, you do not need to fill in the payment information on this form.

    • Please ensure that the name on the registration matches the name on your Rupa order EXACTLY. If it does not match, you may need to recollect your samples.


Shipping

  • Make a note of the tracking number on the return envelope so that you may track your samples back to the lab.

  • The phlebotomist will ship your sample for you using the materials provided in the test kit.

Results

  • Results should be released to your provider 7-21 business days after samples are received at the lab. Rupa Health cannot guarantee processing time.
