If your client’s lab results come back with a critical result, as indicated by the lab company, the Authorizing Physician will attempt to give your client a phone call within 3 business days of receiving results.
During that phone call, the Authorizing Physician will notify the client of their critical result and encourage them to reach out directly to their provider. The Authorizing Physician will not provide a diagnosis nor treatment recommendations. Please note, abnormal results do not necessarily indicate a critical result.
You and your client with both receive copies of the results as soon as they are available from the lab.
